Dr. Angelita Berdiales
Peruvian-born pianist, educator, and collaborative artist, Dr. Angelita Berdiales is devoted to showcasing underrepresented Latin-American and women composers. Passionate about educating through music, Angelita strives to create meaningful connections with her audiences, and to inspire them to have long lasting relationships with music.
Angelita has performed internationally throughout Europe, the United States, and Peru. A two-time First Prize winner of the National Conservatory of Music Concerto Competition in Peru, and the winner of the Jillian Prescott Competition, leading to her debut with the Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra. She has been a finalist in the Osaka International Competition and a prizewinner in the Steinway Series Competition at University of South Florida.
Angelita holds a Doctor of Musical Arts with a minor in Arts Administration from University of North Carolina-Greensboro, a Master of Music from University of South Florida, and a Bachelor of Music from Florida Gulf Coast University. Her primary teachers include Annie Jeng, Svetozar Ivanov, Michael Baron, and Carlota Bravo-Guerra.
Dr. Berdiales is currently based in Greensboro, NC, where she is available for education and performance engagements.

Angelita offers a diverse array of performances, including solo classical concerts, cross disciplinary performances, and community concerts for ages 5 to 95.
piano lessons
Angelita teaches individual piano lessons to pre-college and adult students, both online and in person at the Music Academy of North Carolina.
